I just love how much My Dog Rox LOVES her forage box! Dogs love interactive puzzles and games as much as we do and its great stimulation for them.

What is a Forage box?

Also called a busy box or and enrichment box – is basically a super-fun super-easy DIY game for your puppy or dog.

Start by finding a cardboard box and then fill it with loo roll holders, cardboard, toys and random stuff. Ideally things you can hide their favourite doggy treats in.

What do you need?

• Cardboard box – I used a long Ikea box and made a door each side as my pup can get inside – you can use an amazon box or anything big enough for the to have a goof forage!
• Your pup’s favourite toy – put their favourite toy in there with his scent so he knows its playtime
• Balls – the more you can add in the box the more fun it will be
• Kitchen/loo roll middles with treats wrapped in kitchen roll and stuffed inside
• Kong – Kong’s are the perfect toy to hide in there with Kong hidden treats
• Old Cloths or rags with treats hidden inside

 Let the fun begin!

Once you have hidden all the treats inside, let them loose and and let the foraging begin! Trust me, they are going to love this game – We get Rox’s forage box out for an hour a day and she gets sooooooo excited!

A great way to stimulate their minds, activate their senses and improve their mood – not to mention the joy you get in return watching the fun unfold – and of course tiring them out is an added bonus at cuddle-time!
